america-bully-kennel-club.jpg - The American Bully Kennel Club was created to pay honor to dogs like Lucia. Lucia is off of Bra’tac and Samoa. Sadly over the years the PitBull has been abused by crooks that took advantage of the dog’s willingness to please and suffered immensely in the gladiatorial arenas of the backwoods. Finally after a century of Public outcry, Pit fighting has become the pastime of a few diehard criminals and is quickly fading from the scene. Because of this past history, the AKC denied the PitBull into memberships of its club. The UKC formed in 1898, from its inception has registered PitBulls. Yet in recent years the need of the breed has changed as dog fighting waned and home owners across the country began to enjoy the breed for its unmatched loyalty. Seeing the need for change in the breed, prompted a number of breeders to rethink the direction the Pits were being bred. This new direction has caused a chasm to develop with supporters on each side, some wanting to retain the old and some seeing a need to move forward. It was not long until the need was seen for a new registry to be established to allow for this new breed dog to grow and fulfill its potential. For this reason the American Bully Kennel Club was established and has since become one of the leading advocates for the American Bully as well as Traditional PitBulls. All Bull breeds are welcome to join the club.
