It was a Saturday night when I learned that one of the Top dogs in the country had unexpectedly come up for sale. The next morning I was boarding a plane to Minnesota to look him over first hand. The minute you lay eyes on Blue Remy you know that this is a dog you just have to have. From head to tail he represents what every top breeder is looking for in an American Bully. As you take the time to look at his pictures, you can plainly see why I was so excited to have an opportunity to own this boy. Well it goes without saying; he passed the visual inspection with flying colors of course. But yet the question that a breeder of integrity needs to know about his top stud was yet to be answered.
(Now let me stop the narrative for a moment to mention this; many breeders next question would be; ya, but can he produce? Well certainly I am concerned with that. But that question is a distant second to the concern I had.) What kind of temperament does he have? How would he respond to an unfamiliar situation? What type of character, what type of disposition, would he be likely to pass on to his progeny? Knowing that he would be contributing genes to a large number of offspring, a breeder with honor must take this into consideration first! After briefly familiarizing myself to him, I maneuvered behind him slight and carefully took hold of his back leg and continued to gradually apply pressure, knowing that a dog with uneven temperament would be quick to take offense. Instead, Blue Remy didn’t flinch. By the time I was loading him into my rental car I knew I had a dog that would become a lifelong friend. I try to rotate every dog I own into time living indoors with my family and other family members, but this boy seems to sleep next to me and my wife most often.
Take a minute to look at Blue Remy’s pedigree. If you are a breeder experienced or otherwise, you know the truth in what I relate next. For the majority coming to Mr Pit Bull to purchase a Puppy who are not familiar with Pedigrees; you will not find a more impressive resume anywhere. Blue Remy’s sire is LowJack’s Remy Martin. Remy (as most refer to him) is one of the most prolific studs in the history of dog breeding. He has as of this writing, 659 registered offspring! Remy Martin is sought after because he produces incredible pit bulls. Out of all that he has produced Blue Remy is largely regard as one of Remy’s top productions. Many have said that if Blue Remy were fawn (tan) in color he would most closely resemble Remy. A tremendous compliment indeed! But now take a look at the bottom side (dam, mother) of Blue Remy’s pedigree. You will note his mother is Norcal’s Halle BlueBerry. Halle is considered by many experts to be one of the top producing females in the Bully world. Her breeding to Remy Martin is considered by many experts to his best breeding and one of the top breedings of all time! Anyway you look at it, Blue Remy comes from some of the best bloodlines in the business. And it is this type of breeding that is redefining the game.
Blue Remy is a rather laid back dog. You will never find him getting into things or needing a lot of stimulation to stay satisfied. He enjoys being around people more so than dogs (well unless you are a willing female lol). When I have him in the kennel with all the dogs during play time, he plays the role as the enforcer. If he even senses in the least that I am unhappy with the conduct of another dog; that dog is in for a rude awakening! He is very protective of me and my family members. We absolutely love this dog and are thankful that he is part of our family!
