After decades of abuse, by breeders who bred the breed to be fighters, today responsible breeders are working at breeding a mild mannered version of America's favorite; the American Pitt. Today, American Pitts, thus bred, are being referred to as The American Bully. No doubt you have taken note of these dogs, since they are in such demand. It is interesting to take note of the differences in the American Pitt of yesterday and today's American Bully. The Bully bred dogs, carry the same wiilingness to please, but are bred to be less dog aggressive. You will note that the Bully breed dog is usually shorter and stouter. The males in particular, will sport a larger head and thcker bone structure.
